A decision has been made regarding the father of the teenager arrested for allegedly shooting a teacher at the “Idrak” Lyceum.
“Elchi” reports, citing APA, that the decision was made during a hearing at the Binagadi District Court, presided over by Judge Aytekin Ibrahimova.
According to the decision, the accused, Samir Shirinov, was found guilty of committing the criminal act provided for in Article 230 of the Criminal Code (Negligent storage of a firearm – ed.) and was sentenced to 2 (two) years of correctional labor, with 20% (twenty percent) of his monthly earnings to be deducted in favor of the state.
It should be noted that the trial regarding the criminal case of the teenager accused of shooting a teacher at the “Idrak” Lyceum in Baku is currently ongoing.
The incident took place on February 6 at the private “Idrak” Lyceum located in the Binagadi district of the capital. According to the information released by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the district prosecutor’s office received information regarding the fact that a teacher was injured by a gunshot fired by a student at the school.
The student suspected of committing the act has been detained. On February 7, by the decision of the Binagadi District Court, a preventive measure of 4 months of imprisonment was chosen against him.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Binagadi district prosecutor’s office regarding the fact. A final charge has been brought against A.Sh. under Article 29, 120.2.2 (Attempted murder with hooligan intent) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
