It has been claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will reject US President Donald Trump’s demand for the Israeli army to withdraw from the territories it occupies in southern Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip.
elchi reports that, according to Israel’s Channel 13, before departing for the US, Netanyahu was informed during a weekly cabinet meeting that the Washington administration stated the Israeli army must withdraw from the territories it occupies in Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip.
The report states that Netanyahu told cabinet members, “I will strongly oppose this and tell them ‘no’.” It is also noted that the Tel Aviv administration has approved the entry of the International Security Assistance Force (ISF) into the Gaza Strip, and US President Donald Trump wants the Israeli army to withdraw from there. Sources speaking to Channel 13 stated that the Tel Aviv administration maintains the principle that the Israeli army will retain control over the “Yellow Line” and will not withdraw until Hamas is completely disarmed and removed from the Gaza Strip.
Sources stated that at this stage, the ISF only has about 200 representatives from countries friendly to Israel, such as Uganda and Morocco.
Sources stated that the Israeli cabinet has approved granting immunity to the ISF under the “Immunities for International Organizations” law and emphasized that these forces will operate in areas outside the Israeli army’s occupation and in full coordination with the army.
One official stated, “The entry of any ISF element into the country will depend on the separate approval of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Israel will only select which countries can send forces from among states that have peace treaties and do not act internationally against the country or its officials.” Despite the ceasefire agreement in Gaza coming into effect on October 10, 2025, Israel continues its attacks, destruction, and blockade. Occupying approximately 70% of Gaza, Israel has restricted Palestinians to an area of no more than 30% of the territory. Recent media reports indicate that the Washington administration is pressuring Israel to withdraw from the territories it occupies in Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip. It has been reported that Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington tomorrow.
