A fire-tactical exercise on the topic “Extinguishing fires and organizing the evacuation of people” was held at the “Kimyachi” Palace of Culture located in Sumgayit city, organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
elchi reports, citing the Ministry’s Press Service, that the purpose of the exercise, which involved the relevant personnel and equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, was to instill behavioral rules in the staff of the “Kimyachi” Palace of Culture during emergencies, including fires, as well as to further improve the activities of fire protection units during possible fires in such facilities.
In the theoretical part of the exercise, the palace staff was provided with detailed information about necessary behavioral rules and evacuation measures during emergencies, including fires, and their questions were answered.
In the practical part of the exercise, after the “Alarm” signal was given in connection with a simulated fire, the fire protection units of the State Fire Protection Service arrived at the scene in an operational manner and began “firefighting” measures. In accordance with the evacuation plan in the area where the simulated fire occurred, the employees were evacuated to a safe place, “first aid was provided” to the simulated injured persons, and the “fire was extinguished in a short time”.
After the successfully conducted exercise, the results obtained were discussed and relevant instructions were given.
