In early March, about 2 million people will travel to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj pilgrimage to visit the holy sites of Islam.
January and February 2034 may also not be suitable for the World Cup, as the Winter Olympics will be held in Salt Lake City, USA, at that time, which could “divert public attention and sponsor funds elsewhere.” According to “Politico”, in such a situation, a decision could be made to hold the World Cup in early 2035. It is noted that the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has not announced that such a step is being considered, but according to the publication, this scenario cannot be ruled out.
