False information is being circulated on social media and various messaging platforms regarding the alleged payment of compensation for privatization vouchers, the need for registration, and the necessity to contact certain mobile numbers for this purpose.
According to “Elchi”, a joint statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) stated that the mentioned information does not reflect the truth and is aimed at creating confusion among citizens.
It was stated that citizens should not trust such fake announcements:
“They should not contact unknown phone numbers, should not provide bank card details, identity card information, confirmation codes sent via SMS, or any other personal-financial information to the other party under any circumstances, and should not make any payments. Investigations are currently underway regarding these fake reports.”
