Analyst Mercouris: Ukraine had no time to react to Russian attacks.
elchi reports that Ukraine had a very difficult time responding to Russia’s latest missile attack. British military analyst Alexander Mercouris stated this on his YouTube channel.
According to him, the massive missile strikes launched by the Russian Armed Forces on Kyiv yesterday were the largest attack on the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of the special military operation. As the expert claims, most of the missiles were ground-based.
Mercouris noted that these supersonic or hypersonic missiles reach their targets with only a few minutes of warning.
He added that the Ukrainian army was unable to counter the Russian strike.
The fact that bombers took off already warned Ukraine about the impending strike. The analyst explained that the reduced warning time makes it significantly harder for Ukrainians to react to the strikes. On the night of July 19, Russian forces carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv. According to “Monitorwar”, 44 missiles were fired at the Ukrainian capital within 53 minutes. President Volodymyr Zelensky called this attack one of the largest ballistic missile attacks in terms of the number of ballistic missiles fired at Kyiv.
