On July 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to our country, Saif Rashid Saif Al Jahwari.

President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
The head of state expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of relations between our friendly countries, noted that effective cooperation is being carried out in many areas, including within the framework of international organizations, and emphasized that there are good opportunities for strengthening the partnership.
Wishing the ambassador success in his activities, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope that he would contribute to the deepening of cooperation across various areas of the bilateral agenda.
Expressing his pleasure at being appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Saif Rashid Saif Al Jahwari conveyed the greetings of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said to the head of state and said that the Sultan of Oman wishes President Ilham Aliyev good health and our country new successes.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the kind words and greetings and asked to convey his own greetings to the Sultan of Oman.
The ambassador emphasized the importance of celebrating the 35th anniversary of our diplomatic relations these days.
Recalling Leyla Aliyeva’s visit to Oman earlier this year, he touched upon the significance of the meetings held and discussions conducted during that visit, stating that all of this has made an important contribution to the development of our bilateral relations.
During the conversation, cooperation in the field of tourism between Azerbaijan and Oman was noted, it was stated that a joint investment fund had been established, and an exchange of views took place regarding the prospects for increasing its financial capabilities in the future.
