According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Road Traffic”, the main rule when overtaking a vehicle is that the maneuver must be carried out from the left lane.
“Elchi” reports that, as a rule, overtaking non-rail vehicles must be carried out from the left side.
However, there is an exception in the legislation. If the driver of the vehicle in front has signaled their intention to turn left and has begun the maneuver, it is possible to overtake that vehicle on the right side.
