First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Belarus, and the delegation led by him visited a number of military facilities.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Defense, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, as well as a separate airborne assault brigade.
Here, they got acquainted with the military and special equipment in the armament of the Special Operations Forces, as well as electronic warfare units.
In accordance with the plan, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev visited the Center for Application and Training of Unmanned Aviation Complexes (UAC), as well as an enterprise of the State Military-Industrial Committee.
After getting acquainted with the activities of the center, the guests were informed about the training of UAC operators and the principles of operation on simulators.
Within the framework of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also visited the bust of Hero of the Soviet Union Najafgulu Rafiyev located in Minsk, laid a wreath in front of it, and paid tribute to his memory.
