“I understand President Trump. He really always speaks positively about our army,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the US President often emphasizes his commitment to peace and recognizes Ukrainians as a strong people and nation. The head of state noted that Trump thinks highly of the Ukrainian army. Zelensky emphasized that he “fully shares his praises and message.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that despite the statements made by US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the NATO summit in Ankara, the US remains committed to the peace process in Ukraine and is trying to facilitate it.
