The US Central Command (CENTCOM) shared details of the targets hit in airstrikes against Iran on July 7 and 8.
“Elchi” reports that, according to CENTCOM’s statement, approximately 90 Iranian military targets were hit in the strikes carried out by the US on July 8.
The attacks targeted air defense systems, coastal surveillance elements, missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) storage facilities, naval elements, and military logistics infrastructure along the Iranian coastline.
It was stated that the operations were a continuation of the attacks carried out the previous night.
CENTCOM claimed that in the first wave of attacks on July 7, approximately 80 Iranian military targets were hit, including more than 60 speedboats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The statement claimed that the operations were in response to Iran violating the ceasefire by attacking three commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and that the goal was to “force Tehran to pay a heavy price.” The Central Command (CENTCOM) indicated that new attacks could begin if necessary, stating that US forces in the region are “in a high state of readiness, a high level of preparedness, and are ready to conduct operations in accordance with the President’s directives.”
