Stating that his country’s support for NATO is unwavering, Mitsotakis said: “We are currently implementing a 25 billion euro modernization program for our armed forces.”
Mitsotakis emphasized that Greece has always fulfilled its obligations to NATO. Touching upon the importance of complying with the agreement signed between the US and Iran, Mitsotakis said: “At a time when the cost of living is the number one priority for all European governments, it is important to give democracy and diplomacy time to resolve this complex issue. Of course, I know that further escalation of tension means rising gasoline prices, and we hope this will not happen.” Regarding the summit held in Turkey, Mitsotakis said: “It has always been a pleasure for me to visit Ankara. I have always been a great supporter of the development of relations between the two countries.”
