5 more state standards approved in the field of occupational safety

5 more state standards in the field of occupational safety have been approved in Azerbaijan.

“Elchi” reports that the State Labor Inspectorate Service has released information regarding this.

It was noted that these standards, which are the first to be approved out of the 60 state standards planned for development during the current year, are of great importance in terms of strengthening occupational safety in workplaces, ensuring the health and safety of employees, and expanding the application of international standards.

The approved standards establish general technical requirements and test methods for energy-absorbing devices against falls from heights, special vibration-resistant footwear, rubber boots protecting against water, oil, and mechanical impacts, static electricity protection equipment, as well as personal protective equipment against foot puncture.

The mentioned standards serve to increase the quality and safety indicators of personal protective equipment, reduce production risks, ensure safe working conditions in workplaces, and apply international experience in the field of occupational safety.

It should be noted that all approved standards were prepared as reference standards within the framework of the implementation of the Action Plan for the “State Program on Harmonization of the National Standardization System with International Requirements”.
