2 lawyers have been reprimanded for disciplinary violations, a fine has been imposed on 1 lawyer, and 4 lawyers have been reminded to comply with the requirements of the legislation during their professional activities.

It was stated that the next meeting of the Presidium of the Bar Association (BA) was held today.
Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, the Chairman of the Bar Association, Anar Bagirov, provided detailed information about the current activities of the Presidium, the measures taken recently, the work done, and the main tasks ahead.
In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, applications regarding the transfer of some lawyers to other law firms, the resumption of advocacy activities in connection with the termination of their activities in the civil service, as well as exemption from payment of membership fees for a certain period were considered and relevant decisions were made.
At the same time, applications regarding the establishment of Baku City Law Office No. 41, as well as the creation of law offices by some lawyers, were discussed and positive decisions were made.
In addition, an application regarding the provision of academic and financial support for the International Summer Law School project to be organized by the Azerbaijan representative office of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) was discussed. Taking into account the development of international legal knowledge and skills of young lawyers, the expansion of their representation opportunities on international platforms, and the strengthening of their practical training, a decision was made to provide academic and appropriate financial support to the project.
