“Elchi” reports, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, that as of 9:00 AM on July 7, lightning and rain are occurring intermittently in most parts of the country. The precipitation is torrential in some places and has been intense in parts of the Balakan-Sheki zone.

The amount of precipitation recorded was 111 mm in Balakan (144% of the monthly norm), 29 mm in Qakh (Saribash), 16 mm in Sheki (Kishchay), 9 mm in Zaqatala and Khaltan, 6 mm in Goygol, 5 mm in Aghstafa, 4 mm in Gadabay, 2 mm in Oghuz, Kalbajar, and Dashkasan, and 1 mm in Nakhchivan, Shahbuz, Sadarak, Naftalan, Goranboy, Ganja, Shamkir, Tovuz, Gabala, Khizi, Guba, Gusar, Shahdag, Barda, Yevlakh, Lerik, Astara, Aghdam, Lachin, Gubadli, Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, and Fuzuli.
Maximum wind speed
A north-westerly wind is blowing in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, with the maximum wind speed reaching 16 m/s.
