There will be a mechanism for paying insurance premiums in relation to volunteers, as well as students and pupils undergoing industrial practice.
elchi reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the law “On compulsory insurance against loss of professional working capacity as a result of industrial accidents and occupational diseases,” which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis.
Although the current law provides for the compulsory insurance of volunteers participating in voluntary activities against industrial accidents, the mechanism for paying insurance premiums in relation to them has not been established. According to the draft, it is proposed that the insurance premium for volunteers participating in voluntary activities be paid within 15 (fifteen) working days from the date the contract concluded with them enters into force, and for students and pupils undergoing industrial practice (training), from the date the industrial practice begins.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
