It has been announced that the rotation of US troops in Poland will be resumed

The rotation of 5,000 US troops in Poland, which was suspended in May, will be resumed in the coming weeks.

elchi reports that Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz informed journalists about this.

“I was pleased to receive information from the Deputy US Ambassador to Poland and the US Military Attaché in Poland that the rotation, which had been suspended a few weeks ago, will be resumed. This process will continue, and the rotation of American troops in Poland will be carried out in the coming weeks,” Kosiniak-Kamysz stated. His speech was broadcast live on the Polish government’s social media pages.

Currently, there are about 10,000 US troops in Poland, mainly on a rotational basis. On May 19, Sean Parnell, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, announced that there would be a delay in the rotation of American forces in Poland. Later, United States President Donald Trump announced that the US would send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland, “taking into account the successful re-election of the current Polish President Karol Nawrocki,” whose campaign he supported. However, the American leader did not specify exactly which units of the US Armed Forces would go to Poland, whether they would be sent from other European countries, or whether this resumption meant the transfer of troops specifically within the framework of rotation.
