Krymenergo: A major power outage has occurred in Crimea.
“Elchi” reports, citing Interfax, that a major power outage has occurred in Crimea. According to the hotline of the state-owned enterprise Krymenergo, a large-scale power outage has taken place across Crimea.
It is noted that the cause is a technological failure caused by external factors.
The company added that emergency restoration work is currently underway. The company promised to restore electricity by the end of July 6.
On the night of July 6, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev stated that the city was temporarily left without electricity following an enemy attack. The official urged residents to conserve their phone batteries and use them only in emergencies.
On July 5, a major power outage was recorded in Yevpatoria on the west coast of Crimea. The outage lasted throughout the city starting from 9:20 AM. As a result of the outage, water supply was also cut off in most districts, and tram services were paralyzed.
