There will be a mechanism for paying insurance premiums for volunteers, students, and pupils undergoing internships.
“Elchi” reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law “On Mandatory Insurance against Occupational Accidents and Occupational Diseases,” which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Labor and Social Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis.
Although the current law provides for the mandatory insurance of volunteers participating in voluntary activities against occupational accidents, a mechanism for paying insurance premiums for them has not been established. According to the draft, it is proposed that the insurance premium for volunteers participating in voluntary activities be paid within 15 (fifteen) working days from the date the contract concluded with them enters into force, and for students and pupils undergoing internships (training), from the date the internship begins.
