Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“Elchi” reports that this information was released by the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration.
It was stated that during the phone call, Turkey-Italy bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.
Erdoğan stated that efforts are continuing to strengthen cooperation between Turkey and Italy in all areas, especially in the defense industry. He emphasized the importance of taking steps that will give new impetus to bilateral relations.
The Turkish leader also noted his hope that solidarity and cooperation among allies will be further strengthened at the NATO Leaders’ Summit to be held in his country.
