Leyla Aliyeva visited the Juma Mosque in Yevlakh

On July 1, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited the Juma Mosque as part of her trip to Yevlakh city.

“Elchi” reports that Leyla Aliyeva became closely acquainted with the conditions created for the performance of religious rites and worship in the mosque.

The imam of the mosque stated that the Juma Mosque was put into operation in 1998. About 600 people can worship in the mosque at the same time. Noting that the restoration of mosques in the liberated territories particularly pleases religious figures and worshippers, the imam pointed out that the Juma Mosque is also surrounded by state care and expressed his gratitude to the country’s leadership.

At the end of the visit, a “Holy Quran” was presented to Leyla Aliyeva.
