Based on complaints received from residents in Baku, it is planned to renew a total of 177 escalators and 2 travelators (moving walkways) in 46 above-ground and underground pedestrian crossings located in various areas of the capital.

New escalators, manufactured by the famous Finnish company “KONE” and resistant to various weather conditions, have already been ordered, and the manufacturing plant has begun producing the mechanisms according to individual measurements and technical specifications.
According to the information, starting from October-November of this year, they will be brought to the capital and their phased installation will begin.
Currently, the mentioned escalators and mechanisms, which are under the balance of the State Agency of Automobile Roads (AAYDA), will be accepted into the balance after being renewed by the Baku City Executive Power.
It was noted in the information that these works are being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
