Zakharova stated that the European Union has reached a zugzwang situation through “exceptionalism”.
elchi reports that the European Union authorities have become overly obsessed with the game of “exceptionalism” and have thus reached a zugzwang situation. This opinion was expressed by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Sputnik Radio.
“Politico” previously reported that on June 26, the air conditioning was turned off on the first to seventh floors of the European Commission building in Brussels, but this measure did not affect the floors where European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and many commissioners work.
Zakharova noted that European leaders have become overly obsessed with their own narratives and have reached a zugzwang situation. According to the diplomat, inequality, endless segregation, and the division into masters and slaves – where some have the right to everything and others to nothing – have historically taken root in Europe. Meanwhile, European leaders are trying to appear civilized in a new world where everyone has rights and is free.
Commenting on reports that the air conditioning in the European Commission building was only working on von der Leyen’s floor during abnormal heat, Zakharova stated that colonial logic is still in effect in the European Union.
