Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has commented on the decision to ban students from using mobile phones and electronic devices during class time.
“Elchi” reports, citing APA, that the minister stated the main purpose of implementing rules regarding the use of mobile phones in schools is to prevent the disruption of the teaching process.
According to him, students using mobile phones to talk, play games, or for other purposes during lessons negatively affects the learning process, which is why there is a need to implement unified rules in this area.
He noted that students are not prohibited from bringing phones to school, but the use of phones during class is unacceptable and they must be stored in accordance with established rules.
Emin Amrullayev emphasized that exceptions are possible only in emergency or urgent cases.
The minister added that the goal is not to prevent phones from being brought to school, but to prevent their use during class time from hindering the educational process.
