University diplomas will be issued online starting this year.
elchi reports, citing Modern.az, that instructions regarding this matter have been issued by the Ministry of Science and Education to higher education institutions in Azerbaijan.
“The presentation of diplomas to students in an electronic, online format starting from this academic year has already been discussed, and necessary preparations have begun,” it was stated in response to our inquiry from higher education centers.
It was also noted that diplomas will be presented electronically to master’s students as well as bachelor’s students.
As a result, students can easily obtain their diplomas from the “my gov” platform.
It should be noted that in Azerbaijan, diplomas in higher education institutions are currently presented to graduates mainly in physical form rather than electronically. Due to the procedures of preparing diploma blanks, verifying information, registration, and signing, this process can take several months.
