Another important step is being taken towards modernizing the public transport system and improving the quality of services provided to passengers in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
“Elchi” reports with reference to Nuhcixan that, in this context, the Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center LLC has started training sessions regarding the implementation of a cashless payment system in public transport.
The new system will allow fare payments via bank cards and special transport cards, making the payment process more convenient, efficient, and transparent.
To ensure the successful implementation of the project, special training sessions are being organized for bus drivers and relevant staff. During the training, detailed information is provided on the proper use of payment terminals, passenger service standards, as well as the technical and functional features of the new system.
In the initial stage, the sale of transport cards and the topping up of card balances will be carried out at all post offices of the Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center LLC operating within the city. In future stages, it is planned to further expand this service network.
The implementation of the cashless payment system is an essential part of the digital transformation process in the transport sector. This innovation will both increase the transparency of financial transactions and create a safer, faster, and more comfortable service environment for passengers.
The introduction of the new system will make a significant contribution to aligning public transport services with modern standards, increasing citizen satisfaction, and expanding digital services.
