“Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY) is implementing additional measures for intercity routes to meet passenger demand more efficiently and sustainably during the summer season, when holidays and vacations are at their peak.
According to information provided by ADY to “Elchi”, the number of trips on the tourism-oriented Baku–Gabala–Baku route has been increased from 2 to 4 starting June 6, with regular trips now operating in both directions on both Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, starting July 4, trains on the Baku–Gabala–Baku route will also stop at Ucar station. The new stop will allow local residents and passengers to use railway services more conveniently.
According to the information, train trips on the Baku–Aghstafa–Baku route will be organized every Saturday and Sunday until August 31. The goal is to meet the increasing passenger demand in the western direction during the summer season.
One of the innovations to be implemented during the summer season is the change in the schedule for the Baku–Balakan–Baku route. Thus, starting July 1, the train will depart from Baku at 23:30 (instead of the previous 23:50) and from Balakan at 21:10 (instead of the previous 22:00).
We remind you that starting from June 6, train trips for intercity directions are also organized from Darnagul station. This creates more convenient and accessible transport opportunities for passengers.
Furthermore, starting July 1, the operation of trains on the Absheron circular railway route will be organized according to the summer schedule. Taking into account the decrease in passenger flow during the summer season, the number of trips on weekdays will be optimized, and 84 daily trips will be carried out on this route on weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, trips will be carried out according to the current schedule.
In connection with the transition to the summer season, we recommend that passengers plan their trips in advance and purchase tickets on time.
