On June 25, the official opening ceremony of the “Khankendi Medical Center” was held in the city of Khankendi.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the event was attended by employees of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, representatives of the medical community, and guests. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President, provided information about the restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated territories and the measures taken to ensure the population has access to quality healthcare services.
He emphasized the importance of developing the private healthcare sector in the region. It was noted that the center, equipped with modern medical equipment, will provide outpatient reception, laboratory diagnostics, dentistry, psychology, pediatrics, cardiology, gynecology, and other medical services. Later, the guests familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the center. It was also specifically emphasized that the launch of the medical center will make a significant contribution to increasing the accessibility of healthcare services in the region, creating new jobs, and the socio-economic development of Karabakh. A scientific-practical conference was also held within the framework of the event. At the conference, reports on the development of healthcare and the organization of modern medical services were heard, followed by panel discussions.
