In the 2025-2026 academic year, 5607 applications for the recognition of foreign qualifications were submitted to the Quality Assurance in Education Agency (TKTA).
elchi reports that this information was provided in the Ministry of Science and Education’s report for the 2025-2026 academic year.
It was stated that the expertise of 4030 of these applications has been carried out:
“The expertise of 1577 applications is still ongoing. As a result of the expertise, a positive opinion was issued for 3266 applications, and certificates of recognition for qualifications obtained abroad were presented to the applicants. A negative opinion was issued regarding the recognition of 764 foreign qualifications within the country.
Among the countries with the highest number of applications for which the expertise of foreign qualification recognition has been completed, Turkey (1400), Russia (998), and Ukraine (593) are listed.”
