On June 25, favorable weather conditions are expected at the Absheron beaches. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, a north-east wind will blow during the day, which will be replaced by a north-west wind in the evening.
“Elchi” reports that the sea water temperature will be 22-23 degrees at the northern beaches (Sumgayit, Novkhani, Pirshagi, Nardaran, Bilgah, Zagulba) and 24-25 degrees at the southern beaches (Turkan, Hovsan, Sahil, Shikh).
In addition, the Ministry of Health has issued a warning regarding the quality of sea water at some beaches. According to the ministry’s statement, laboratory tests revealed that water samples in several areas do not meet sanitary norms and rules.
As a result of the monitoring, it was discovered that sea water in the beaches located in the settlements of Turkan, Hovsan, Shikh, and Sahil in Baku, as well as in the settlements of Ashagi Nuvedi, Sutamurdov, Kichik Bazar in Lankaran, and the Niyazoba area of Khachmaz, is contaminated with sewage and waste water.
For this reason, a temporary restriction has been imposed on the use of sea water for swimming in the mentioned areas.
