The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public in connection with the expected rainy and unstable weather conditions.
elchi reports, citing the MES, that the appeal states:
“According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, starting from the evening of June 24 until June 29, intensive rain is forecast in some areas, with short-term floods expected in some mountain rivers and lightning strikes.
Taking the above into account, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has once again reminded of the relevant safety rules.
Thus, to protect against floods and flash floods that may be caused by intensive precipitation, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and, if faced with this danger, to immediately climb to the nearest high ground.
“At the same time, to protect against dangers related to lightning, it is necessary to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, not to talk on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), not to approach power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas while outdoors, not to take shelter under tall trees and choose relatively low-lying places for this purpose, and if in a car, to stop moving, raise the windows, and wait for the lightning to end.
Remember, indifference to the rules is a danger to our lives!”
MES recommended calling 112 in case of danger.
