Ensuring information security and cybersecurity is being included among the main directions of state policy in the field of informatization.
According to elchi, this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law “On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information,” which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Human Rights.
According to the draft, the rules for conducting monitoring and auditing of state information resources and systems (excluding information resources and systems belonging to intelligence and counter-intelligence entities, as well as critical information infrastructure, and the information infrastructure of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and entities supervised in financial markets (legal entities owned by the state or in which the state holds a controlling stake)) based on security criteria, as well as providing opinions on information security, are determined by the body (institution) defined by the relevant executive authority.
