Since Azerbaijan became a member of the Islamic Development Bank in 1992, within the framework of cooperation spanning over 30 years, the Islamic Development Bank Group has provided approximately 1.8 billion US dollars in financing for key sectors of our country’s economy, including agriculture, energy, water resources, transport, and financial services.
elchi reports that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stated this at a press conference organized within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank’s Annual Meetings held in Baku.
The minister noted that the majority of the financed projects have already been completed.
“Currently, 11 projects with a total value of 635.9 million US dollars are in the implementation stage,” he emphasized.
