President Ilham Aliyev has amended the decrees on the “Approval and entry into force of the Tax Code and legal regulation issues related thereto” and the “Application of the Tax Code” approved by this law dated August 30, 2000, as well as the decree on the application of the law “On Customs Tariff” dated July 4, 2013.
elchi reports that the head of state has signed a new decree in this regard.
According to the decree, authorized bodies have been identified to issue supporting documents for the exemption of the import of machinery, technological equipment, and installations from value-added tax and customs duties. Thus, powers regarding projects for the production of military-purpose products have been granted to the Ministry of Defense Industry, and for other projects, to the Ministry of Economy.
