Artificial intelligence leader Midjourney has announced its new technology capable of performing MRI-quality imaging in just one minute using ultrasound sensors and water pools.
“Elchi” reports that the US-based technology company Midjourney, known for its AI-based visual generation tools, has announced its entry into the healthcare sector.
The company stated that as part of its new initiative called “Midjourney Medical,” it is working on an innovative device capable of scanning the human body in a very short time.
This system under development aims to make advanced imaging technologies like MRI faster and more accessible.
The power of water and ultrasound technology
The scanner being developed has a design quite different from traditional medical devices. The system is planned to operate in a shallow water pool with an ultrasound sensor ring that surrounds the body.
This ring will send ultrasound waves to the body from various angles and record the returning signals. All this collected data will be converted into precise medical images thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms. The company aims to complete this entire process in less than 60 seconds.
