Organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fire-tactical exercise on the topic “Behavioral rules and evacuation during emergencies” was held at the Barda Cotton Production and Processing Plant of “Azarpambiq ASK” LLC.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry’s Press Service, the purpose of the exercise, which involved the relevant personnel and equipment of the MES, was to instill behavioral rules during emergencies, including fires, in the plant’s staff, as well as to further improve the activities of fire protection units during potential fires at such facilities.
In the theoretical part of the exercise, the plant’s staff was provided with detailed information on necessary behavioral rules and evacuation measures during emergencies, including fires, and their questions were answered.
In the practical part of the exercise, after the “Alarm” signal was given in connection with a simulated fire, forces and means belonging to the Fire Protection units of Barda, Yevlakh, Aghdam, and Tartar districts arrived at the “fire site” in an operational manner and began “firefighting” measures. In the area where the simulated fire occurred, the evacuation of employees to a safe place was carried out in accordance with the evacuation plan, “first aid was provided” to the simulated injured persons, and the “fire was extinguished in a short time.”
A total of 25 personnel and 5 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercise.
After the successfully conducted exercise, the results obtained were discussed, and relevant instructions were given.
