Qatar’s hopes for US-Iran dialogue increase

Qatar hopes that the meeting between the US and Iran expected on June 19 and the signing of a memorandum on ending the war will serve as a basis for expanding cooperation.

“Elchi” reports, citing ISNA, that this was stated by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

“I hope that the upcoming meeting will be a basis for dialogue and expanding cooperation,” he said.

The Emir of Qatar highly appreciated the agreement on the memorandum between the US and Iran:

“We express our gratitude to President Trump (US President Donald Trump – ed.), Pakistan, and all partners.”

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that an agreement had been reached between the US and Iran. According to him, the document is planned to be signed in Switzerland on June 19, and the parties have already agreed to cease military operations.
