The Milli Majlis has approved in one reading the draft law on amendments to the Law “On the Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan – the City of Shusha”.
“Elchi” reports that this issue was included in the agenda of the parliament’s plenary session held on June 12.
According to the draft law, Article 5.2 of the document is presented in a new version. According to the amendment, it is prohibited to damage or destroy monuments located in the territory of Shusha city, to move them to another location without the consent of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, as well as to carry out construction-installation, restoration, reconstruction, conservation works or landscaping measures that violate their integrity and pose a threat to them.
