The Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held an event on the occasion of June 15 – National Salvation Day.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the MES, the event began with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of our Motherland.
It was reported that the event was attended by Member of the Milli Majlis Aydin Mirzazade, Head of the MES Baku Regional Center Colonel Elnur Maharramov, Deputy Head of the Department at the Ministry’s Main Department for Organization of Work with Regional Centers, Project Management and Education Issues Namig Bagirzade, Hero of the Patriotic War, father of martyr Senior Lieutenant Azad Humbatov, Chairman of the Narimanov District Council of Elders Arif Humbatov, and the Center’s personnel.
Speakers at the event provided detailed information about the events that took place in our country on the eve of June 15, 1993, and spoke about the unparalleled services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people. It was noted that in June 1993, the National Leader responded to the call of the people he loved with infinite devotion, risked his life to save our country from the threat of fragmentation and civil war, and protected and strengthened our state independence.
It was stated that as a result of the successful continuation of the progressive political course founded by the Great Leader by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, our state, which restored its territorial integrity in the 44-day Patriotic War, has become a leader in the region and an influential member of the world community.
Then, a documentary film dedicated to the life and activities of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the National Salvation Day was shown.
