Iran has launched a ballistic missile attack on Jordan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it has attacked the Al-Azraq Air Base and a US command center in Jordan with 12 ballistic missiles in response to recent US attacks on Iran.

The IRGC statement says that as part of an operation aimed at punishing US attacks, 12 ballistic missiles were fired at the Al-Azraq Air Base and a US command center in Jordan. It was claimed that numerous facilities and aircraft were destroyed. The US Department of State warned its citizens living in Jordan regarding missile and drone attacks, stating: “Seek immediate shelter in protected and secure areas. Stay indoors and follow local warnings carefully.”
Iran took retaliatory measures against US attacks
Recent US military strikes targeting Iran’s military surveillance, communications, and air defense infrastructure have triggered retaliatory measures from the Tehran administration. The IRGC announced that it had attacked 18 targets belonging to the US military at the Ali Al Salem and Ahmed Al Jaber air bases in Kuwait, as well as the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. It was also reported that the Iranian military targeted radar installations of the Patriot air defense systems belonging to the US 5th Fleet in Bahrain with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
