The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Defense, the Azerbaijani delegation first visited the monuments to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the prominent Serbian writer Milorad Pavić in Tašmajdan Park in Belgrade, as well as the memorial complex dedicated to Milica Rakić, and laid wreaths at them.
Then, in accordance with the visit program, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Bratislav Gašić.
During the official welcoming ceremony organized in accordance with the protocol, the defense ministers of both countries passed in front of the guard of honor. The national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia were played.
At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was held on the current state and development prospects of relations between our countries in the fields of military, military-technical, and military education, and regional security, as well as a number of other issues of mutual interest, were discussed.
It should be noted that within the framework of the visit, the Minister of Defense is scheduled to participate in the “High-Level Observer Day” of the “Platinum Wolf – 2026” international tactical exercise held near the city of Bujanovac, Serbia.
