A digital learning assistant for students has been launched on the “Digital School” platform, initiated by the Ministry of Science and Education in partnership with the UAE-based G42 “Presight” company.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry.
It is noted that the digital assistant allows students to receive personalized support in their daily learning process, grasp lesson topics more easily, and find answers to their questions. It also answers students’ questions across various subjects, explains complex topics in simple language, clarifies concepts step-by-step, and supports the development of independent learning skills.
“The AI-based mentor establishes individual communication with each student, providing support tailored to their learning pace. Whether it is explaining a difficult physics topic or providing step-by-step solutions to math problems after school, the digital assistant provides individual support to students not only during class but whenever they need it.
To use the digital learning assistant, students must log in to their student accounts on the “Digital School” platform and select the “Digital Assistant” service located in the “Applications” section.
Currently, the service is in the testing and learning phase. The digital assistant has been primarily trained in mathematics and natural sciences. As the training and improvement process for other subjects is ongoing, there may be certain inaccuracies in the responses. The provided answers are intended to support the learning process and should be supplemented with teacher explanations when necessary.
The launch of the digital learning assistant is an important step toward deepening digital transformation in education, increasing the accessibility of educational services, and integrating modern technologies into the teaching process. The new solution serves to help students reinforce their knowledge, master educational materials more efficiently, and increase their interest in learning,” the statement said.
It was noted that the digital assistant was developed as a local generative AI solution and deployed on the high-performance computing infrastructure of the Ministry of Economy, within a technological environment located inside the country: “Deploying the solution on local infrastructure is of great importance for keeping data within the country and developing AI capabilities in education within the framework of the national digital ecosystem. The creation of the solution was made possible within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in September 2025 between the Ministry of Science and Education and the UAE-based G42 group’s ‘Presight’ company in the field of education. The document provides for the application of AI in education, the development of AI-based mentors for students and digital assistants for teachers, as well as the integration of Azerbaijani language models focused on education.”
