The European Union (EU) will impose export restrictions worth 60 million euros against Russia and Belarus in its 21st sanctions package against Russia.
elchi reports that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced this while presenting the new sanctions draft, which will be discussed by EU Foreign Ministers on June 15.
“The EU has proposed a ban on the import of a number of goods from Russia with a total annual value of 60 million euros,” von der Leyen said. This list will include metals, alloys, and spare parts. In addition, for the first time, the EU will ban trade in fishery products with Russia, specifically cod. These restrictions will also be applied to Belarus.
