A secret drug bunker has been discovered in the Novkhani settlement of the Absheron district.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was stated that 45-year-old Etibar Gurbanov, suspected of illegal drug trafficking, was detained as a result of the measures taken. During a search of his residence and a secret underground bunker he had constructed in his backyard, 209 cannabis plants cultivated through artificial means, with a total weight of over 11 kilograms, as well as nearly 2 kilograms of marijuana, were discovered and seized.
Investigations revealed that E. Gurbanov had created favorable conditions for growing cannabis plants by installing special ventilation, lighting, and heating systems in the bunker.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. By the court’s decision, a preventive measure of detention has been chosen for E. Gurbanov.
