Tokayev signed the law “On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan”

Tokayev signed the law on the institution of the President and Vice-President of the Republic.
elchi reports that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has signed the law “On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan” to implement the provisions of the new Constitution. His press service announced this on their Telegram channel.
The relevant law defines the legal status, powers, and procedures for supporting the president’s activities, as well as the legal status of the vice-president.
As the press service noted, the main innovation is the creation of the vice-presidency institution. According to Tokayev’s instructions, the vice-president represents his interests in interactions with state bodies and performs functions determined by the head of state.
In addition, the Kazakh leader signed the constitutional law “On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Status of its Deputies,” which defines the organization and activities of the parliament, the legislative process, and other forms of exercising its powers.
On March 15, Kazakhstan officially adopted a new Constitution, which came into force on July 1.
