A world first: Artificial intelligence developed a vaccine

Artificial intelligence has been used to develop a “completely new” type of vaccine that can provide protection against numerous viruses and prevent epidemics.
“Elchi” reports that researchers at the University of Cambridge have announced for the first time that the main component of a vaccine was created entirely by artificial intelligence and is being tested on humans.
The developed vaccine is designed to be effective against all coronaviruses and covers all Covid variants and viruses that infect animals but could potentially cause the next epidemic. Research is still in the early stages, but the team is also working on separate vaccines that could fight the flu and Ebola.
Vaccines increase the body’s chances of fighting an infection by teaching it how to detect it. However, because some viruses can change their appearance, i.e., mutate, the protective effect of vaccines can decrease rapidly. Therefore, Covid and winter flu vaccines are updated regularly.
Professor Jonathan Heeney from the University of Cambridge stated, “We are always behind. What we want to do is get ahead of the pandemic,” which indicates that they aim to provide advance protection against new epidemics or pandemics.
