A Permanent Settlement Fund will be established in the liberated territories.
elchi reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Housing Code, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis committees on Labor and Social Policy and Human Rights.
According to the draft, the residential areas of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories will be among the types of residential areas of the special-purpose housing fund. The residential areas of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories are intended for the relocation of internally displaced persons to permanent residences in the liberated territories and for the transfer of these residential areas to their ownership.
The procedure for relocating internally displaced persons to the residential areas of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories and transferring these residential areas to their ownership will be determined by the body (institution) defined by the relevant executive authority.
It was noted that as a result of the amendment to the Housing Code, a new institution – the “Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories” will be created, and the residential areas included in this fund will be used for the purpose of relocating internally displaced persons and transferring these areas to their ownership.
