MES has appealed to the public regarding windy and rainy weather conditions

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, intermittent strong winds, intensive rainfall in some areas, short-term floods in some mountain rivers, and lightning are forecasted until tomorrow daytime.

elchi reports that, taking the mentioned factors into account, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminds of the relevant safety rules.

Thus, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light structures and temporary buildings, buildings and billboards, and not to stand under electric poles and wires or tall trees.

In addition, considering the difficulties caused by strong winds in extinguishing fires, fire safety rules should be strictly observed during windy weather. Also, considering that people head to beaches for recreation in the summer season, we remind you that it is dangerous to enter the sea in strong windy weather. Furthermore, small vessel users should note that going out to sea in such weather conditions is prohibited.

Likewise, to protect against floods and flash floods that may be caused by intensive rainfall, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and, if faced with this danger, to immediately move to a nearby high ground.

At the same time, to protect against lightning-related dangers, it is necessary to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, not to talk on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), not to approach power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas while outdoors, not to take shelter under tall trees and choose a relatively low-lying area for this purpose, and if in a car, to stop moving, roll up the windows, and wait for the lightning to pass.

Remember: Indifference to the rules is a danger to our lives!

In case of danger, call 112!
