The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the development, design, construction, and operation of a gas turbine power plant in the Republic of Serbia” has been approved.
“Elchi” reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree regarding this matter.
After the Agreement enters into force, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan must ensure the implementation of its provisions, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan must notify the Government of the Republic of Serbia that the necessary domestic procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement have been completed.
Furthermore, the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on cooperation in the field of food safety” has been approved.
After the Agreement enters into force, the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan must ensure the implementation of its provisions, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan must notify the Government of the Republic of Serbia that the necessary domestic procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement have been completed.
It should be noted that both agreements were signed in Belgrade on February 15, 2026.
