An educational event for students was held at the Nakhchivan Medical College by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry, MES employees provided detailed information on the classification of emergencies, emergencies characteristic of the autonomous republic, as well as necessary behavioral rules regarding fires and earthquakes. The goal was to increase the knowledge of young people in the field of emergency behavior rules, fire safety, primary rescue measures, and civil defense.
The purpose of the MES “112” hotline was explained, and the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment were demonstrated visually, and questions were answered in detail.
In the practical part of the event, after the “Alarm” signal was given during a simulated earthquake and fire, teachers carried out the evacuation of students from classrooms, and primary medical and psychological aid was provided to the “victims”.
Firefighters initiated “firefighting” measures, conducted rapid reconnaissance, and performed “fire extinguishing” and “rescue” operations.
The event concluded successfully, and the set goals were achieved.
It was noted that holding such events makes an important contribution to raising the level of preparedness of the population, especially young people, for emergencies and forming a culture of safety.
